In Which Cases Are Laminated Teeth Applied?
It is an application method that is placed with perfect harmony on the existing tooth if there is a structural form and shape disorder in the teeth. It offers a perfect natural tooth appearance, indistinguishable from a natural tooth. It is resistant to staining and abrasion. It is made considering tooth dimensions, jaw, face shape, smile position, tooth position, and cavities. It is recommended for diastema, fractured or worn teeth, color deformities, correction of worn old fillings, and crowded teeth. Before application, patients undergo a computerized photo examination by examining their smiles, tooth alignment and dimensions, shape, and positions. Then, tooth preparation is made (around 0.3-0.7 mm from the front surfaces). In some cases, tooth preparation may not be necessary. During the preparation phase, the patient is fitted with temporary acrylic laminate teeth. Finally, the laminates prepared in the appropriate form and color are completed, and the temporary product is removed, and the real laminates are fitted and bonded.
