Women's Support Application from Antalya
A Sensitive Move from Antalya
Due to the recent increase in violence against women and children, harassment, and all sorts of bad actions, some measures have started to be taken in our country through associations and municipalities. One of these measures was followed by a development that caught attention under the Antalya news headlines. The application, introduced by female personnel and informing citizens, is an application that every woman with a smartphone can download and use from the IOS and Android stores. Antalya Provincial Police Department teams have launched a 'Women's Support Application' named 'KADES' to prevent such bad actions.
The Application Was Introduced by Antalya's Female Police Officers
The Antalya General Directorate of Security, not wanting to remain silent in the face of news of violence against women and children, harassment, and mistreatment, which we frequently encounter and many of us react to in recent times, has exhibited a move that many cities should take as an example. The Women's Support Application, developed with the technical means and capacity of the Antalya Provincial Police Department, was launched in 2018, and its promotion had begun. First, the T.R. identity number must be entered, and the account is activated with the received confirmation code. After that, through KADES, it is sufficient for women subjected to violence to turn on their device's location and press the button in the application once. With this single touch, women can reach 112/155/156 emergency services as quickly as possible. The nearest team is dispatched to the scene, and during the process of ending the incident and taking the necessary interventions, the suspect is apprehended, and the necessary security measures are taken for the woman subjected to mistreatment. With this development under the Antalya news headline, many women and children will be able to live a safer life, escape danger, and reach intervention teams with a single click at any moment and in any situation. Police teams are continuing the necessary work to increase sensitivity on this issue and to popularize the use of the application.
